"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways,  Chocolate in one hand - martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!" ~ author unknown

About the Author.

Life should NOT be

Darlene Henriksen Grimes’ career spans several decades working with, working for, and starting companies as diverse as she is. With an ongoing love for publishing, she founded and published Winter Visitor Magazine, founded the marketing and branding firm Maximum Visual Power, and held the position as Director of Marketing & Special Projects for an International Religious Organization with over 800 employees and several campuses. Her love of Real Estate ownership & Mother Earth combined with her gift of being a trend forecaster led her to becoming an EcoBroker® Real Estate Agent, then moved her into CEO of a boutique resort development startup project in Belize, where she lead a team of 27 people. It is some members of this team who prompted her to publish an e-book, Business Soulcare®, as they witnessed the integration of spirituality, business and lifestyle into the project.

As a child, raised in the Christian Scientist philosophy then moving into Fundamentalist Christianity for 20 years of her life, she has, for the past 15 years, come to a middle ground with New Thought Ancient Wisdom teachings. As well as studying the bible every day for 20 years, she has studied at a Theosophical Monastery and studied many religious thought leaders, identifying most recently with Rev. Michael Beckwith.

Darlene’s published writing over the years has also reflected her diverse interests including: poetry and business anthologies, business plans and marketing copy, blogs, and romance and erotic short stories. This is her first full length book.

Darlene is a graduate of both the Newhouse School of Communications and College of Visual & Performing Arts, Syracuse University.

Darlene’s most recent "Love Project," is the writing of her memoir: Life with Grace, documenting her childhood from pre-birth to early twenties. However, she will say the most important “Love Project” she has ever been involved in is raising her Artist Daughter and Permaculturist Son.
